What is SchoolAide Library? SchoolAide Library is an online library system designed for Philippine schools. It helps manage everything about your school library -- checking out and returning books, tracking fines, running DepEd reports, managing purchases, and more. It works on any modern web browser and can also be installed as an app on your phone.

Who can use SchoolAide Library? There are different types of users:

  • Librarians -- Full access to manage the library (checkout, returns, fines, catalog, reports, purchases)
  • School Admins (principals, registrars) -- Everything librarians can do, plus school setup, staff management, and budgets
  • Teachers -- Can search the catalog, borrow books with extended privileges, and suggest book purchases
  • Staff (non-teaching) -- Can search the catalog and borrow books
  • Students -- Can search the catalog, check their loans and fines, place holds, and manage a reading list
  • Alumni -- Limited borrowing access
  • Guests -- Can only search the catalog (no account needed)

Can multiple schools use the same system? Yes. Each school has its own separate space in the system. Your school's data is completely isolated from other schools. You access your school's library through your school's own web address (like your-school.schoolaide-library.com).

What browsers work with SchoolAide Library? Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all work. We recommend keeping your browser up to date. You can also install SchoolAide Library as an app on your phone for quick access.

How are school years managed? Each school year has a start date and end date. One school year is marked as "current" at any time. The current school year affects budget tracking, DepEd reports, and clearance. At the start of each school year, create a new one and mark it as current.
