"Overdue notices aren't being sent"

What you might see: Students are not receiving email reminders about overdue books.

Why this happens:

  1. Notification preferences -- The student may have turned off overdue reminders. Check their notification preferences.
  2. Email settings -- Your school's email service may not be configured correctly.
  3. System scheduling -- The overdue notice system runs automatically every day at 8:00 AM. If it was just set up, notices will start the next day.

How to fix it:

  1. Check the student's notification preferences (overdue reminders should be turned on).
  2. Ask your school's IT staff to verify the email settings are configured.
  3. For SMS notifications, verify that the SMS service is set up.
